EXPAND YOUR INNOVATION HORIZONS WITHIN EUROPE
Strategically positioned within Horizon 2020 and the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) public-private partnership (PPP), the IAR Cluster helps its members set up European projects and fund research activities, first attempts and proof-of-concept studies.
IAR is a member of the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC)
IAR is a member of BBI JU and represents Europeans SMEs
BBI JU PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP (PPP)
The aim of the BBI JU PPP is to develop European bio-based products by investing in innovation (research, small-scale proof-of-concept studies and industrial plants). The partnership has €3.7 billion in available funds from 2014-2020, of which €975 million comes from European funds, and €2.73 billion comes from BIC. The collaboration is part of Horizon 2020.
Having IAR represent us within the BBI JU gave our company a real competitive advantage. We received briefs on relevant topics, tailor-made analyses for calls for projects, grew our network of contacts and received strategic advice. There were many advantages, all of which contributed to the success of our project.

To help you build a competitive consortium, IAR has fostered close relationships with many European stakeholders: businesses, research institutes, universities etc.
The IAR Cluster is also a founding member of the 3BI (Brokering Bio-Based Innovation) partnership which brings together Biobased Delta (the Netherlands), the Bioeconomy Cluster (Germany) and BioVale (United Kingdom). These three leading bioeconomy clusters joined forces to strengthen European collaboration and support the creation and deployment of competitive European bio-based products and services.
HELP YOUR COMPANY COMPETE ON THE WORLD STAGE
Through technology partnerships, IAR enables you to reach international markets by creating opportunities in difficult-to-access countries. How do we do this? Through the IAR do Brasil network and missions with international partners.
IAR DO BRASIL
Founded in 2014, the IAR do Brasil network brings together French and Brazilian innovators, entrepreneurs and academics. Its goal is to encourage technology partnerships in Brazil, a country with extensive biomass resources, a number of key businesses innovating in the bio-based sector and a large consumer market. The association currently has 32 members, 26 of which are French.

The IAR Cluster leads international missions, independently or together with its partner Business France, benefiting IAR members through new business opportunities and technology partnerships. Target countries include Canada, Malaysia, India and Bangladesh.
REACHING A GLOBAL AUDIENCE
A leading bioeconomy cluster, IAR is often invited to take part in major bioeconomy conferences. For larger summits (Plant Based Summit, EFIB etc.), IAR invites its members to join conference delegations, providing unique networking opportunities.
